Durant la première moitié du XIXè siècle en Grande-Bretagne, le débat politique sur l’élargissement du suffrage révèle des approches divergentes sur les critères d’acquisition du statut de citoyen britannique. Cette présentation met en lumière la domination du discours conservateur et libéral durant les discussions parlementaires au sujet de l’extension du corps électoral du pays en 1832. Via la linguistique exploratoire, à l’aide du logiciel Iramuteq, nous observerons la polarisation d’un débat entre deux groupements politiques réciproquement déterminés à faire triompher leurs positions partisanes. Use of the Apparent Content Curves for the spectrophotometric identification of substances: identification of amphetamines

The possibility of identification of substances which have similar spectral behaviour by means of Apparent Content Curves has been studied. This study is carried out with absorption, excitation and emission spectra of several amphetamines of widespread pharmaceutical use. Results obtained show that amphetamine, phenylpropanolamine, pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine, epinephrine, dopamine and methoxyamphetamine can be identified with a probability of >95%.

A new fast and fault-tolerant identification algorithm for spectral databases

A new method for an automatic, computer and database driven identification of UV/VIS spectra is described. It is shown that an identification algorithm must consider the spectral differences as well as their common features. The described identification method allows identifications, even if the spectra are distorted or shifted.

Identification of overglaze and underglaze cobalt decoration of ceramics from Valencia(Spain) by portable EDXRF spectrometry

The purpose of this work is the application of non-destructive analysis to differentiate underglaze and overglaze techniques used in the decoration of glazed ceramics from Valencia (Spain). This study was carried out by portable EDXRF spectrometry using an X-ray tube and a thermoelectrically cooled semiconductor detector. From the EDXRF spectra we have identified the main elements present in the tin-opacified lead glaze and in the cobalt pigments. A micro-analysis of the assimilation process in the linguistic therapy of evaluation

This paper reports a qualitative micro-analysis of the assimilation process in 18 events drawn from six patients treated in the linguistic therapy of evaluation. Each event began with a problematic situation introduced by the patient and ended with a marker showing either non-resolution or resolution of the problematic situation. These events all represented a common therapeutic task: The orders of abstraction technique, one of the main techniques of the linguistic therapy of evaluation.
